Hello Reader, I’ve launched a podcast. I can't even begin to tell you how long I've been procrastinating over this, but it's finally here! It’s called Decoding Confidence, and it was born from not only my personal struggles with confidence but also years of working inside organisations, listening carefully, and noticing a pattern I just couldn’t ignore. Time and time again, when I peeled back the layers of workplace conflict, tension, stalled progress, or disengaged teams, the root cause wasn’t always capability or ambition. It was confidence. Or sometimes, overconfidence masquerading as certainty (I know you'll know a few people who fall into this camp!). I’ve seen a lack of confidence lead to poor decision-making, limited innovation, and talented people shrinking themselves to fit. I’ve also seen overconfidence bias shut down curiosity, silence voices, and create cultures where challenge feels risky. Either way, the impact is real for many workplaces. And that’s when I realised something important. Confidence at work runs far deeper than the influencer soundbites and vision-board rhetoric we often see online (although, for the record, I do love a good vision board). Real confidence shapes how we lead, how we influence, how we communicate, and how safe we feel to be ourselves. It affects mental health, self-belief, and whether people feel able to contribute fully, or quietly hold back. And when confidence is missing, cultures suffer but when it’s nurtured well, everything shifts. That's why I wanted a podcast on Decoding Confidence as I wanted to explore all this on a deeper layer (alongside my new book that's coming out in May). Confidence isn't about being louder, more polished, or having all the answers. It’s about understanding what professional confidence actually means for you, and how you can build it in a way that feels sustainable, human, and real. I've had lots of great feedback so far on the first episode, someone actually described it as 'having a cosy chat with you' and that's exactly what I wanted. Sometimes I'll be sharing gentle encouragement, other times a bit of tough love, but always grounded in experience, research, and honest reflection. When we do feel confident in what we do, though, we show up more fully for ourselves. And when that happens, we create the conditions for others to do the same. So if you're curious about how confidence may help you or your team, then this podcast is for you. You can download on almost every podcasting platform, including Apple and Spotify. Or you can listen directly from Podbean. So go and pop the kettle on and let's decode this together. I hope you enjoy the listen! Advita PS: If you enjoy the listen, and you found it helpful, a review will be greatly appreciated. It helps with reach so more people can access it. And please do share with anyone else it may help. Thank you. |

Each programme team has a different way of...
